Alcyone blinked. She stared at the glowing, pink of her wand tip for a moment longer before she glanced at the muggle stick in her hand with the little, red plus sign. She looked between the two and pursed her lips. She placed her wand down and the stick, before she climbed off her and Jasper's bed and began to pace.

Soon though, the realisation sunk in and she let out a squeak of happiness. She was pregnant! Alcyone danced around in a circle, her hair flying around her as she did so. She couldn't keep the smile off her face as she slid her wand back into her pocket and grabbed the stick. She walked into their bathroom and tossed it in the bin, giddy smile still in place. She laughed as she realised there were going to be a lot of moody, pregnant women around Hogwarts.

First Tessa and Anne, now her? She laughed and couldn't wait to tell Nora, tell Clara, tell Anne, tell Capella, tell Jaycie, tell Caelum, but she felt the most excitement at telling Jasper. She hoped he'd be pleased, and she immediately began to wonder what gender her baby would be. She wasn't sure which one she'd prefer, she'd love the baby no matter what. She sat down on her side of the bed and pulled a pillow onto her lap, waiting for Jasper to come home.

Jasper was wondering why Alcyone was taking so long in their bed room so he wandered into the door way and was about to say something. However he was caught up in the beauty of his wife and just stood there taking her in.

"Hey dear, what have you been up to here all by yourself?" He had to smile it wasn't the smoothest conversation with his wife. He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck and resting his head on her forehead.

Alcyone looked over at the doorway as the man who currently entertained her thoughts stood in it. He seemed to pause and just stare at her for a while, making her cheeks flush a light pink as she smiled warmly at him. Just his gaze on her made her feel like a giddy little schoolgirl over-come with her love for the objects of her adoration.

She grinned as he wrapped his arms around her, kissed her neck than rested his forehead against hers. She stared into his beautiful, striking blue eyes before she remembered that she wanted to talk to him. She kissed him on the lips quickly before patting the spot next to her for him to sit down. She cleared her throat and stared at her hands, un-able to find the words to say.

He sensed that something must be wrong so he slipped his hand down to her arms and just held them. "Alcy is something wrong? You know you can tell me anything dear." His smile slipped and he started to look concerned he did not know what was wrong but did not want to push the matter it could be nothing.

He shook his head and took her into his arms again he did not know why she spent all the time in here alone but he knew that he was not going to leave until she spoke to him and told him what was bugging her. He just wanted her to know that he was here for her like always.

Alcyone beamed at him as he asked her if something was wrong. Quite the contrary, everything was brilliant - so long as he was happy with her news. She knew that if he was displeased they'd be in for a huge fight. Alcyone looked at him and bit down on her lip as her smile faded.

"No, nothing's wrong, unless you want it to be?" Alcyone took in a shaky breath and wrapped har arms around Jasper in turn. She placed her head on his shoulder and finally managed to breath out the words, "I'm pregnant."

Jasper blinked when Alcyone told him that she was pregnant. It took him a couple minutes to register but when it did he picked her up and spun her around a couple of times and put her down gently he was just so excited.

"This is great news beautiful." He had secretly hoped on having another child with her but he didn't want to voice his feelings to her incase she felt bad that she hadn't provided him with one.

Jasper began to smile from ear to ear and he took her into his arms again and kissed her he was just so excited and didn't know how to contain himself if he even could.

Those moments of silence seemed to stretch on for hours as she awaited his response anxiously. What if he hadn't wanted another child? He'd never expressed any desire at all. Her worry was short-lived as he picked her up and spun her around.

She giggled as she was swung around and wrapped her arms tightly around him as he placed her down. "Good! I'm so glad, for a moment there I was worried you didn't want him or her," Alcyone smiled in relief.

He took her into his arms once more and kissed her, and she kissed him back with much enthusiasm. She felt her heart beating wildly in her chest, and she knew Ella would be thrilled with the news.
